“What can I say!! That was unbelievable on Saturday! You were amazing and we couldn’t have had a better band to play at our big day. Apologies for not being able to dance- my dress didn’t allow after the first dance! So much amazing feedback from our guests. Apologies also for the very abstract Orcadian Strip the Willow at the end. All our love and many thanks” Rose & Kieran Farquhar, bride & groom, Guthrie Castle, Forfar, 26 August 2017

“We just wanted to say a massive thank you for playing at our wedding at Drumtochty Castle. You were all amazing and we all loved the music. Your patience with explaining the dances was very much appreciated and all the Irish guests loved learning how to ceilidh dance…even if they were free styling most of the time. Thanks again!”  Sinead & Kerr, bride & groom, Drumtochty Castle, 23 August 2017

“Thank you so much for playing at our wedding in Anstruther. We had an awesome day and everyone really enjoyed the ceilidh. We have lots of photos of a busy dance floor :-)”  Sian & Blair Rennie, bride & groom,  Anstruther Town Hall, 19 August 2017

“Matt and I wanted to say thank you again for providing the best ceilidh ever, we absolutely loved the music as did all our guests. We were so pleased that they were so keen from the first dance, despite many of them having never ceilidh’d before. That’s very much down to you,  for your great tunes and excellent calling. The DJing of the disco was also brilliant, creating a fantastic party atmosphere. Thank you so much- you know we had a great time as nobody wanted the night to end!. Thanks to Johnny also for coming early and sorting out the mics for the speeches- you were really helpful” Sunayna & Matt, bride & groom, Dovecot Studios, Edinburgh, 28 May 2017

Just wanted to say a big thank you for making our wedding go off with a bang on Saturday night. Everyone had a fantastic time, from the first timers, to the Scottish folk who knew (most!) of the dances. Having been to many ceilidhs we both agree that this is absolutely the future! The music sounded  brilliant, modern and energetic, but still unmistakably Scottish and Celtic. With you guys constantly mixing it up, each dance had 2 or 3 kicks to get everything bouncing again. You found the perfect balance of dances to make sure the floor was always filled. So thanks! We will definitely recommend you to friends and family.” Jamie and David Greig, bride & groom, Culcreuch Castle, Fintry, 13 May 2017

“Thank you for playing our wedding reception on Saturday. We keep on hearing from guests how great a time they had trying Scottish dancing, how they thought it would be difficult, but that you guys made everything very straight forward. A good time was had by all!” Bryce Miller & Ida-Johanne Gamborg Lillebø , bride & groom, Scottish-Norwegian wedding, Howie’s Waterloo Place, Edinburgh, 04 March 2017

“Please pass on my thanks to all the other band members for a great night on Saturday. Many thanks again.” Mrs. Liz Collister, Assistant Housemistress and Matron, Fettes College, Edinburgh

I would not hesitate to recommend you guys to other brides!” Suzy Thompson, Bride, Fasque House, Fettercairn, 16 July 2016

The fact that so many people asked me, ‘where did you find those guys?’, together with the busyness of the dance floor testified to the great job you did. “Just wanted to say a MASSIVE thanks from both families for the band’s efforts on Saturday night at David & Mairi’s wedding reception at The Scores Hotel. So glad we chose Sporran Again and you were able to take our booking. Thanks also for your patience when we had the hassle with the change of venue earlier this year. Saturday was a brilliant evening and everyone enjoyed the wedding dance whether they came from Austria, South of England or closer to home. High quality playing, good sound system and excellent craic between dances. You got the ceilidh set spot on as evidenced by the number of people dancing and Johnny’s efforts on the dance calling were greatly appreciated. I don’t recall you ever having to ask for extra couples to come forward to make up sets and, if anything, we could have done with a bigger dance floor. Highlight for me was dancing the Gay Gordons with Mairi to ‘Mairi’s Wedding’ – thanks a million for making the father of the bride even happier than he already was! We would be delighted to highly recommend you to anyone looking for a ceilidh band for their function. Thanks a lot and it was great dealing with you.” David & Karen Templeton, Parents of the Bride, The Scores Hotel, St Andrews, 6th July 2013
